The Reina Cristina hotel is housed in a 19th century building that was the home of the poet Federico Garcia Lorca during the final years of his life. It is built in the traditional Andalusian style, with patios and fountains, and the owners - the Jimenez family - have made every effort to preserve its original appeal. The interior is exquisitely restored and the guest rooms are individually decorated and boast all the amenities one would expect from this standard of property. The restaurant serves cuisine typical of Granada. Highlights include Tortilla de Sacromonte (sacromonte omelette), Habas de Graná (broad beans from Graná) and Gazpacho.
