The hotel is situated in the heart of Granada, on the Plaza Nueva square, at the gateway to the Alhambra. Bars are restaurants are very close by, as is the Albayzin area where one can experience flamenco shows and find shops with an Arabic influence.

The Plaza Nueva Hotel is housed in a traditional brick building featuring a white and terracotta façade. The entrance is actually on the left hand side of the propert instead of at the front. The small lobby has a seating area next to the reception desk. The guestrooms are decorated in a simple but classic style, with polished floors, wooden headboards and plain walls. The hotel restaurant, on the ground floor opposite reception, serves typical Andalucian dishes, including "tapas".
