Lovely rooms, brilliant location, pleasant and helpful staff. We didn't take breakfast in the hotel but in the cafe in the square outside, so can't comment on the food. We were not looking for facilities other than decent rooms. A previous review complained about the lack of a settee in reception - they now have two, very comfortable leather settees!

La Alhambra, of course, also the Cathedral and St Geronimo monastery worth a visit.
We tried Cafe au Lait (near the Cathedral) for meal accompanied by flamenco guitarist and dancer. Intimate and seems real. Food OK.

Hotel has a great location so the lack of a bar was unimportant. Rooms were clean, if a little on the small side. An initial mix up over the reservation (double rather tahn twin)was quickly resolved by hotel staff.

If you like hotels with lots of facilities then this is not for you. However, just step out of the hotel and you have lots of cafes, restaurants, bars to choose from on your doorstep. It is also a good location to get to the Alhambra. We had a room overlooking the internal courtyard and it was really quiet and peaceful.
We got a taxi from the airport (25 Euros) to Plaza Nueva and the hotel was easy to find.

Very pleasant hotel and particularly convenient for the Alhambra, the airport bus the good restaurants and for the centre of the town. We were very impressed and satisfied with it.

Alhambra well worth a visit. We took 2 visits to see most of it. The second day things fell into place. An excellent restaurant was the Horma de Santiago. Not far away -- expensive but very different. We took a train trip to Almeria--- over two hours away--- not worth visiting and not much to see from the train-- very barren countryside

The facilities were poor - only seating in a small windy entrance hall, and no extra toilet. Staff in diningroom unfriendly; staff on Reception helpful.

Gran Taberna opposite the Hotel in Plaza Neuva very good for tapas.
Remember to pre-book visit to Alhambra through BBVA (24 hours notice needed). Restaurant in Parador San Francisco within the Alhambra is open to non-residents and is superb.
