The Monasterio De Los Basilios Hotel was built on the site of an old "Morábito" (Muslim convent) in 1616 by the Bohórquez family, Marquises de los Trujillos. It architecture remains in keeping with the appearance of this famous building. The interior is quite austere but very attractive, with wood beamed ceilings, wooden framed windows and lots of Andalusian tiles. The 76 guest rooms are not very large, but all are modern and fully equipped. The restaurant offers good service and quality meals. It serves both regional and international cuisine.
